On 4-20-24, BODY KITE returns to the Old Town Hall Theater following their sold-out show last Fall. They will create a live improvised score set to visuals by filmmaker Bill Morrison and multi-media designer Laurie Olinder. This living psychedelic music video will blow your mind. Drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, horns, electric koto, loops and percussion will be deployed in historic Old Town Hall to achieve maximum liftoff for audience and band alike.

Popcorn and refreshments will be served!

BODY KITE is an experimental, improvised dance-rock band started by Pierre de Gaillande and featuring a rotating cast of musicians. For fans of early Pink Floyd, Can, Talking Heads, and “Bitches Brew”-era Miles Davis. Video artist Bill Morrison has premiered films at the New York, Rotterdam, Sundance, and Venice film festivals, and multi-media work at BAM, the Barbican, Carnegie, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. In 2014 he had a mid-career retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art. https://billmorrisonfilm.com/

Laurie Olinder is an OBIE-awarding multi-media designer whose past clients include The Kronos Quartet and Philip Glass. Her work has been shown at noted performance venues such as ART, BAM, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and MASS MoCA. https://www.laurieolinder.com/
