Bassoon in the Wild

A FREE Jazz Concert!

An exciting event for Jazz Appreciation Month! The Bassoon in the Wild quartet will play Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Original compositions from the latest CD Next Chapter will also be performed.  To enhance the performance, members of the quartet will share their knowledge about the influence of jazz greats and how the bassoon fits in.

 

The jazz quartet Bassoon in the Wild consists of bassoon, piano/melodica, bass, and drums. The musicians: Michael Rabinowitz, bassoon; Tommy Campbell, Drums; Matt King, Piano and Andy Mckee, Bass, all top NYC performers. This concert is made possible by funding from the American Federation of Musicians Local 400, Musicians Performance Trust Fund. This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program with public funds provided from Putnam County.

Bassoon in the Wild will take place at the Studio Around the Corner at 67 Main Street in Brewster Village (around the back of the Southeast Old Town Hall). The FREE concert will be performed on April 28th at 3:00 PM.
