The purpose of this program is to provide an educational forum for leaders in Emergency Medical Services to review “The Changing Face of Emergency Medical Services in New York State,” a report from a series of SEMSCO open forum conversations, as compiled by Steve Kroll, and participate in an out-of-the-box approach to finding solutions to some of the most pressing issues that affect EMS agency systems and personnel. Presentations include Not-For Profit – Governance, Management, Fiscal Discussion, and Outlook; Public Relations – Methods to Enforce Change of Public Perception, Community Awareness, and Responsibility; Mental Health & Well-Being of the EMS Worker; Attorney/Strategic Counsel – Sustainability Options; Financial Sustainability – Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance; and a Q&A Panel Discussion.
