HI! We are proud to announce our print exhibition in collaboration with Desmond-Fish Public Library

Garrison Art Center and Desmond-Fish Public Library have partnered for ROOTS, a collaborative juried printmaking exhibition on view from June 25 to October 25, 2026. Bringing together two of the community’s cultural cornerstones, this free exhibition features printmakers exploring the intersections of nature, history, and narrative. It offers a visually striking look at what connects us to our environment and community, making it a compelling feature for local coverage.

Following is the press release plus attached is an image of one of the prints that will be in the exhibition. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at marketing@garrisonartcenter.org.

All the best,

JUNE 8, 2026, GARRISON, NY Garrison Art Center (GAC) and Desmond-Fish Public Library (DFPL) are proud to announce their upcoming collaborative juried exhibition, ROOTS, on view from June 25 through October 25, 2026, at Desmond-Fish Public Library. This unique exhibition brings together the local community to explore the profound intersections of nature, history, and narrative through the medium of printmaking.

This collaboration was inspired by the discovery that GAC and DFPL had complementary summer themes—Garrison Art Center’s Rooted: Art and the Natural World for their K-12 Summer Programs and the Desmond-Fish Public Library’s summer reading theme, Unearth A Story. GAC and DFPL aimed to highlight the compelling connections between art, storytelling, and the natural world. Participating printmakers were encouraged to think expansively and approach the concepts of being “rooted” and “unearthing” both literally and conceptually. The resulting exhibition highlights the rich dialogue between visual art and storytelling.
