Upcoming art show

Jean Basiletti
Jean is a conceptual and narrative illustrator from NY state. She graduated from Savannah
College of Art and Design in 2023 with a BFA in illustration. A lot of her work is inspired by
nature, and whatever she happens to be fixated on at the time. A common theme she returns to
is the ability to see beauty in ugly things, which she believes is crucial. She dabbles in a lot of
different medias, her current favorite being ink and digital.

I am a local artist in Brewster, and wanted to inform you of a gallery show I will be having with the Cultural Arts Coalition in August. The show is in collaboration with a friend of mine, and will feature her fashion designs and my paintings.

Sophie Scott
Sophie is a current junior at Colorado State University and is studying Apparel Design.
With a background in vintage clothing, much of her work is inspired by utilizing what she has,
instead of buying materials new. Some of Sophie’s recent projects and those featured in the
show utilize vintage upholstery fabric, linen top sheet, and decommissioned tent material. Her
goals as a designer are to focus on sustainability while creating clothes that are out of the box,
and made for people who want to stand out.
