Annual Human Rights Day Breakfast – Panel will talk about issues affecting seniors re: disability discrimination
The Westchester County Human Rights Commission is hosting its annual Human Rights Day Breakfast this year on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. The event will take place in the Tudor Room at Pace Law School (White Plains). This year’s conference will focus on issues facing the disabled community. We have an exciting panel which includes William Frumkin, Esq. (Partner, Frumkin & Hunter LLP), Joshua Levin, Esq. (Fair Housing Director, Westchester County Human Rights Commission), and John Robinson, Executive Director of Our Ability, Inc.
John Robinson was recognized by the White House in 2014 as a Champion for Change for Disability Employment. John has an inspirational story. Mr. Frumkin is an attorney with over 30 years of experience representing employees and non-profit organizations in disability discrimination matters (employment and public accommodations). Mr. Levin is the Fair Housing Director for the Human Rights Commission and will discuss specific discrimination issues such as requests for reasonable accommodations including emotional support animals.
The panel will also discuss issues impacting seniors. There is no cost for the program. Please send RSVP to the breakfast by email to [email protected] or call our office at (914) 995-7710. A sign language interpreter will be present at the event.
