Let’s showcase, highlight and celebrate Putnam County businesses

February 15th is last call for nominations for the 2016 “Best In Business” Trailblazer awards.  The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce has been recognizing business excellence and non-profit achievement since 2011. Honoring professional achievement and civic contributions in the Putnam County community, the Trailblazer Awards represent the highest acknowledgment from professional peer judges across the county.

Over the years, the Trailblazer Awards has drawn thousands of attendees to network and celebrate the best and brightest in Putnam, making this event the largest business networking event in the county.  The annual gala has celebrated special categories, including “Entrepreneurial Spirit,” “The 40 Under 40” and “Trailblazer Alumni”.

Hosted at Villa Barone in Mahopac, this year’s Trailblazer Awards event will honor several professionals and businesses across 18 categories of achievement on March 23rd, 2017.  Thanks to the many sponsors who have already stepped up such as the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce, Mahopac Marina, J. Philip Commercial Group, Halston Media and the always supportive Tompkins Mahopac Bank, we were able to lower the cost of admission to $ 95.00.  This includes dinner, open bar, acoustic rock and roll by local musician Don Syska and 2 hours of business to business networking.  We have 2 very special Keynote speakers who will be talking about striving to make Putnam County a place to “Live, Work, Play”:  Dr. Marsha Gordon, President & CEO, the Business Council of Westchester, and Meghan A. Taylor, Regional Director, Mid-Hudson Empire State Development.   Both will be introduced by our County Executive Maryellen Odell. That is a trio of powerful women!

The event’s mission is to Showcase, highlight and celebrate Putnam County businesses.  We can’t do that without your help.  Please join us in making this event a huge success for our business community.  Go to http://www.pcctrailblazers.com NOW, vote in your favorite businesses and purchase tickets.

We remain committed to a healthy business climate in Putnam County.

-Jennifer Maher, Chairwoman, the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, “A business advocacy group”
